Agentforce Jobs in 2026: Roles, Skills and Salaries Recruiters Actually See

Agentforce jobs exist in 2026, but there are far fewer of them than the noise suggests, and almost none of them are advertised under that name. Five genuinely new job titles have appeared since Agentforce launched, and their pay reference sits at architect level rather than administrator level: senior architect medians of 110,000 pounds in the UK, 103,000 euros in Germany and 70,000 euros in France, against 57,588 pounds and 74,220 euros for senior administrators. This guide lists those roles, the skills the specs really ask for, what they pay, and what a recruiter sees in the pipeline behind each one.

Methodology: role descriptions and market commentary come from the Salesforce Ben review of new ecosystem jobs, published 2 September 2026. Salary medians and skill focus percentages come from the SF Ben 2025-26 Salesforce Salary Survey, 2,316 responses across 76 countries and more than 17 industries, as published in the 2026 architect salary guide and the 2026 administrator salary guide, with the AI specific reading taken from their analysis of AI skills and pay. UK vacancy counts and medians were read from IT Jobs Watch on 24 September 2026. Demand movements are from the 10K 2025 Salesforce Ecosystem Report. Pipeline observations are Apiire's own, drawn from 187 European placements closed between January 2025 and August 2026, and are flagged as such.

Agentforce jobs in 2026: what the keyword actually hides

Start with the most useful negative result in this guide. On 24 September 2026, IT Jobs Watch, which tracks UK permanent vacancies skill by skill, returned no permanent job statistics at all for the keyword Agentforce. Not a thin sample, not a low median: no entry. Over the same six month window the same source counted 1,551 permanent UK vacancies citing Salesforce, against 1,034 a year earlier, with 976 quoted salaries and a median of 62,500 pounds, up 13.64 percent year on year.

That single contrast should reset expectations. Employers are not opening Agentforce roles in volume, they are adding Agentforce to roles that already existed. If you search job boards for the word itself you will find a handful of results and conclude the market is dead. Search for architect, consultant and integration developer roles, then read the responsibilities, and you will find agentic work sitting inside three quarters of the senior specs.

The five Agentforce job titles that actually exist

Salesforce Ben reviewed the genuinely new titles created in the ecosystem in the two years since Agentforce launched. Five hold up. Note who advertises them: four out of five are Salesforce itself, which tells you how early the market still is.

TitleWho advertises itWhat it is made ofSeniority in practiceThe skill that decides the shortlist
Forward Deployed EngineerSalesforce, team created in April 2025 and targeted at 1,000 peopleSenior developer, technical architect and customer facing consultant combinedSenior, 5 years and upShipping agentic solutions inside a client org, with AI assisted tooling in the daily workflow
Deployment StrategistSalesforce, deployed in pods of one strategist for two engineersA business analyst who stays accountable past the recommendationMid to seniorTurning a business case into a scoped agent in engagements of 12 weeks or less
AI BuilderSalesforce graduate programmeSoftware engineering, consulting and solution engineeringEntry level, genuinely open to new graduatesJavaScript, Python and Apex, plus the nerve to ship, break and iterate
Applied AI CoachSalesforce Outcome Acceleration teamCustomer success management with analytical depthEarly career, 1 to 3 years of experienceExplaining why an agent underperforms, in four week diagnostic sprints
Agentforce ArchitectConsultancies, for example Accenture Advanced Technology CentersThe classic Salesforce architect, rebuilt around agentsSenior to principalPrompt Builder, Data 360 and retrieval design, accuracy and hallucination control

Two patterns matter more than the titles. First, only two of the five are open to junior candidates, and both are inside Salesforce rather than in the wider partner market, which means the entry route into agentic work is narrow and largely goes through one employer. Second, every senior title on that list is accountable for a deployment that works in production, not for a design document. Agentforce Architect specs go as far as naming hallucination control as a responsibility, which is the clearest signal that this is delivery work and not strategy work.

The skills Agentforce specs actually ask for

The 2025-26 SF Ben salary survey asked 2,316 professionals which skills they were focusing on next. Agentforce was the single most cited keyword in the whole survey, and it still only reached 27.3 percent of respondents. Read that as a scarcity signal rather than a saturation signal.

Skill focusShare of professionals prioritising itWhat it means on a shortlist
Generative AI, general48.3 percentTable stakes by now, differentiates nobody on its own
Agentforce27.3 percentMost cited keyword of the survey, still a minority skill in the talent pool
Data 360, formerly Data Cloud12.4 percentThe real bottleneck: no clean data layer, no working agent
Technical architect demand movementplus 27 percent globallyWhere the agentic budget is landing, per the 10K ecosystem report
Solution architect demand movementplus 21 percent globallySame direction, slightly behind
Salesforce developer demand movementminus 12 percent globallyHolding up only for integration heavy profiles

The survey also found that respondents holding non Salesforce certifications, including AI and cloud credentials, reported some of the highest salary brackets in the dataset. Sarah Kelleher, CEO of Nebula Consulting, reads the same pattern from the client side: most organisations are still early enough in their AI journey that they need architecture, operating models and ways of working defined, not just hands on build. The premium therefore attaches to people who can place an agent inside a wider system, which is why it shows up on architect payslips first. Our guide to the Salesforce certifications that matter in 2026 covers where the Agentforce Specialist credential fits into that picture.

What Agentforce jobs pay in 2026

There is no separate Agentforce pay scale, and anyone quoting one is extrapolating. What exists is the architect scale, which is where agentic accountability lands. The table below puts the verified 2026 senior medians for architects next to senior administrators in the same survey, same methodology, same sample.

CountrySenior architect medianSenior administrator medianGap
United KingdomGBP 110,000GBP 57,588plus 91 percent
GermanyEUR 103,000EUR 74,220plus 39 percent
FranceEUR 70,000EUR 54,373plus 29 percent
SpainEUR 57,500EUR 57,500no gap in this sample
Netherlandsnot published for architectsEUR 79,500the highest administrator median in Europe here
United StatesUSD 192,500USD 110,100plus 75 percent
AustraliaAUD 235,000AUD 124,500plus 89 percent

Two honest caveats. The Spanish row shows what happens when a survey cell runs thin, so treat it as a sample artefact rather than a finding, and the Dutch architect cell was simply not published. More useful is what happens when people move. Among job changers in the survey, 30.4 percent of technical architects and 19.4 percent of solution architects secured an increase, while 50.7 percent of administrators took a decrease. Across all roles, 41.6 percent of movers lost salary against 22.6 percent who gained. That spread, not a mythical Agentforce bonus, is the real financial argument for moving up the stack. Country by country context sits in our European Salesforce salary guide and, for the senior end specifically, our architect salary guide for Europe.

Practical rule for a 2026 job search: do not chase the word Agentforce in job titles. Target senior Salesforce roles that mention Data 360, integration or agent governance in the responsibilities, and lead your CV with one deployment you took to production. On Apiire briefs, one shipped agentic use case beats three AI certifications with no delivery behind them, every time.

Who is actually hiring, and who is not

The headline numbers look encouraging and the recruiter reality is more mixed. Salesforce job postings tracked on Glassdoor went from roughly 14,000 in May 2024 to 31,200 in September 2025, a rise of more than 120 percent, and Salesforce's own careers site was listing 1,531 open roles in late summer 2026. Against that, the 10K ecosystem research puts global talent demand up only 8 percent and the saturation rate at 330 percent, meaning three qualified candidates for every open seat.

Recruiters disagree openly about what that means. Mat Roche, founder of Third Republic and AI Republic, told Salesforce Ben his data is flat, that admin jobs are disappearing and that partners now want industry knowledge as much as platform skills. Evgeniia Rudakova of Aquiva Labs describes a market that is more selective rather than simply bigger, with the uptick concentrated on architects, data roles and developers with integration experience. Both descriptions fit what we see: our own pipeline shows a market that has stopped growing at the bottom and keeps pulling at the top. The broader question of whether the ecosystem is oversupplied is covered in our analysis of Salesforce market saturation.

How to position yourself for an Agentforce job

  • Build one thing and take it live. A single agent in production, with the accuracy problem you had to solve, outranks a portfolio of Trailhead badges in every screening call we run.
  • Learn the data layer before the agent layer. Data 360 is prioritised by only 12.4 percent of professionals, and it is the dependency that breaks most agent projects. Scarcity plus criticality is the best combination on a CV.
  • Apply to the title, not the technology. The roles are advertised as architect, consultant, integration developer and customer success. Filtering job boards on the word Agentforce hides most of the market.
  • Keep a non Salesforce credential in the mix. The survey associates AI and cloud certifications held outside the Salesforce stack with the highest reported salary brackets.
  • Be honest about the entry level. Two of the five new titles accept juniors, and both sit inside Salesforce itself. If you are breaking in, our realistic timelines for landing a Salesforce job will save you some disappointment.

Frequently asked questions

Are Agentforce jobs actually being advertised in 2026?

Rarely under that name. IT Jobs Watch had no permanent vacancy statistics at all for the keyword Agentforce on 24 September 2026, while recording 1,551 UK permanent vacancies citing Salesforce over the previous six months. The work is real, the job title is mostly not.

How much do Agentforce jobs pay?

They pay the architect and senior consultant scale, because that is where agentic accountability sits. The verified 2026 senior architect medians are 110,000 pounds in the UK, 103,000 euros in Germany and 70,000 euros in France, against senior administrator medians of 57,588 pounds and 74,220 euros. There is no separate published Agentforce band.

Can a junior candidate get an Agentforce job?

It is possible but narrow. Of the five genuinely new titles, only the AI Builder graduate role and the Applied AI Coach role, which asks for one to three years of experience, are open to early career candidates, and both are advertised by Salesforce rather than by the partner ecosystem.

Is Agentforce replacing Salesforce administrator jobs?

It is compressing the junior end rather than replacing the role. Administrators were the group most likely to take a pay cut when changing jobs in the 2025-26 survey, at 50.7 percent, and one specialist recruiter describes admin roles as disappearing. Senior administrators who own governance, data quality and agent oversight are not in that bracket.

Which skill should I learn first for agentic Salesforce work?

Data 360, formerly Data Cloud. Only 12.4 percent of professionals are prioritising it against 27.3 percent for Agentforce itself, and an agent with no clean, retrievable data layer behind it does not reach production. Prompt Builder and retrieval design come second, integration third.
