Remote Salesforce Jobs in Europe: Where They Are and What They Pay (2026)
Remote Salesforce jobs in Europe 2026: how many exist, which countries and roles hire remotely, what they pay, and the contract shapes behind them.
Remote Salesforce jobs in Europe are neither the flood that job boards advertise nor the extinct species that return to office headlines suggest. The numbers are precise and public. Over the six months to 22 September 2026, 473 of the 1,537 permanent UK Salesforce vacancies tracked by IT Jobs Watch cited remote or hybrid working, which is 30.8 percent of the market, with a median salary of 60,400 pounds, up 20.8 percent year on year. Across the whole UK economy, Indeed Hiring Lab measured 16.9 percent of postings mentioning remote or hybrid at the end of June 2026. Salesforce roles are therefore roughly twice as remote friendly as the average job, and that gap is the real story. This guide maps where those roles actually sit in Europe, which titles travel well over a video call and which do not, what the remote discount really costs, and the three contract shapes hiding behind the word remote in a job ad.
Methodology: UK market figures come from the IT Jobs Watch Salesforce permanent index and the Salesforce contract index, both pulled for the six months to 22 September 2026. Economy wide remote posting shares come from the Indeed Hiring Lab mid year 2026 UK report. National work from home rates are Eurostat Labour Force Survey 2025 figures published in June 2026. Role level and contract level data come from Apiire's placement book: 187 Salesforce roles closed in Europe between January 2025 and August 2026. All salaries are gross annual base, local currency, senior level.
How many remote Salesforce jobs in Europe are there really
Three measurements need to be separated, because job boards deliberately blur them. The first is the share of job ads that mention remote or hybrid at all. The second is the share that are genuinely location independent within a country. The third, by far the smallest, is the share open to a candidate living in a different country from the employer. Ads in the first bucket outnumber the third by roughly twenty to one.
| Measure | Figure (2026) | Source | What it actually tells you |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK Salesforce permanent ads citing remote or hybrid | 473 of 1,537, or 30.8 percent | IT Jobs Watch, 6 months to 22/09/2026 | The realistic ceiling for flexibility in the largest European market |
| Median salary on those ads | 60,400 pounds, up 20.8 percent | IT Jobs Watch | Remote roles are not being repriced downwards, they are catching up |
| UK Salesforce contract ads citing remote | 370 ads, median 500 pounds per day | IT Jobs Watch contracts | Contract remote is almost as common as permanent remote |
| All UK job postings mentioning remote or hybrid | 16.9 percent | Indeed Hiring Lab, end June 2026 | Salesforce is about twice as flexible as the average role |
| EU employed persons usually working from home | 9 percent | Eurostat LFS 2025 | The national backdrop varies far more than the Salesforce market does |
| Apiire European briefs that were fully remote | 21 of 187, or 11 percent | Apiire placement book 01/2025 to 08/2026 | Fully remote is a minority, hybrid is the default |
Our own book gives the cleanest breakdown of what European employers actually signed. Of 187 Salesforce roles closed between January 2025 and August 2026, 21 were fully remote (11 percent), 128 were hybrid (68 percent) and 38 were fully onsite (20 percent). Inside the fully remote group, 14 of 21 were contractor or freelance engagements rather than employment. That single ratio explains most of the confusion: when a European company says remote, it usually means a contract, not a payroll job.
Remote Salesforce jobs in Europe, country by country
National working culture matters more than the Salesforce ecosystem here. Eurostat put the EU average at 9 percent of employed people usually working from home in 2025, but the spread is enormous: Finland 20.5 percent, Ireland 19.2 percent, the Netherlands 16.4 percent and Sweden 15.6 percent at the top, against Italy 2.7 percent, Greece 2.3 percent, Bulgaria 1.4 percent and Romania 1.3 percent at the bottom. A Salesforce developer in Amsterdam and one in Milan are doing the same job in two different labour markets.
| Country | Remote friendliness for Salesforce | Most common setup | Senior developer pay on remote eligible roles |
|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | High, and the deepest volume in Europe | Hybrid, two office days, plus a large contract market | GBP 62,000 to 70,000 permanent, GBP 500 per day contract |
| Ireland | High, national WFH rate 19.2 percent | Hybrid around Dublin, US headquarters culture | EUR 75,000 to 82,000 |
| Netherlands | High, national WFH rate 16.4 percent | Hybrid, English speaking teams, strong ZZP contractor market | EUR 82,000 to 90,000 |
| Germany | Medium to high, varies sharply by employer | Hybrid, plus genuine fully remote roles at product companies | EUR 80,000 to 88,000 |
| France | Medium, teletravail is contractual and capped | Two to three remote days written into the contract | EUR 63,000 to 70,000 |
| Spain | Medium, but a magnet for foreign employers | Remote for a foreign employer via local contract or EOR | EUR 50,000 to 58,000 |
| Poland | High for delivery roles | Remote B2B contracts with nearshore delivery centres | PLN 200,000 to 230,000 |
| Sweden | High, national WFH rate 15.6 percent | Hybrid, flat teams, low presenteeism | SEK 730,000 to 800,000 |
| Italy | Low, national WFH rate 2.7 percent | Onsite leaning, remote mostly at multinationals | EUR 48,000 to 55,000 |
Two practical conclusions follow. If you want volume, look at the UK first, then Germany and the Netherlands. If you want a fully remote employment contract rather than a contractor engagement, Spain and Poland are the two markets where foreign employers have built the most habit, because the cost base justifies the administrative effort. The full salary picture behind these bands, including admin, consultant and architect medians, is in our country by country guide to Salesforce salaries in Europe, and the three way comparison of the largest markets is detailed in UK versus Germany versus Netherlands for Salesforce professionals.
Which Salesforce roles actually go remote
Seniority predicts remote eligibility better than job title, but title still matters. Work that produces reviewable output on a schedule travels well. Work that depends on reading a room, chasing a reluctant stakeholder or supervising someone junior does not. The distribution below is the share of the remote flagged briefs we received in Europe over the last eighteen months.
| Role | Share of remote flagged briefs | Why it travels, or does not | Typical remote band (EUR equivalent) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Salesforce Developer | 31 percent | Output is code, reviewable asynchronously, tooling is already distributed | 65,000 to 92,000 |
| Technical Architect | 22 percent | Scarce, senior, bought for judgement rather than presence | 100,000 to 140,000 |
| Consultant or Business Analyst | 18 percent | Workshops and discovery push for onsite days, delivery phases do not | 60,000 to 85,000 |
| Salesforce Administrator | 14 percent | Ticket driven and async friendly, but often tied to an office population | 45,000 to 66,000 |
| Marketing Cloud or integration specialist | 11 percent | Project based and rare, employers accept distance to get the skill | 65,000 to 95,000 |
| Junior admin or support | 4 percent | Needs supervision, shadowing and correction, the first thing cut from remote | 35,000 to 46,000 |
If you are early career, do not build a job search around fully remote roles. Junior and support profiles represent 4 percent of remote briefs and lose roughly two thirds of the market by filtering for it. Two office days in a city with real Salesforce employers buys far more interviews than a remote filter does, and the first two years are when supervision compounds fastest.
What remote Salesforce jobs pay compared with onsite
The remote discount exists, but it is much smaller than the internet claims, and in the UK it is closing. The permanent Salesforce median across all UK ads is 62,500 pounds, up 13.64 percent year on year across 962 salary quotes. The median on ads citing remote or hybrid is 60,400 pounds, which is 3.4 percent lower, and it rose 20.8 percent year on year, faster than the market as a whole. On the contract side, the overall median day rate is 525 pounds against 500 pounds on remote ads, a gap of 4.8 percent.
| Segment | UK permanent median | UK contract median day rate | Gap versus market |
|---|---|---|---|
| All Salesforce ads | GBP 62,500 (up 13.64 percent) | GBP 525 (up 2.44 percent) | Baseline |
| Ads citing remote or hybrid | GBP 60,400 (up 20.80 percent) | GBP 500 | Minus 3.4 percent permanent, minus 4.8 percent contract |
| Apiire book, fully remote employment offers | 6 to 12 percent below the hybrid equivalent in the same city | Not applicable | The real discount sits here, not in the ad data |
| Apiire book, fully remote contractor engagements | Not applicable | 0 to 5 percent below onsite equivalent | Contractors barely pay a remote premium or discount |
Read the two lines together and the mechanism becomes clear. Ad level medians understate the discount because most remote flagged ads are hybrid roles in expensive cities. The genuine penalty appears at offer stage, on fully remote employment, where employers benchmark against where you live rather than where they sit. A senior developer living in Valencia and employed by a Munich company will be offered Spanish market pay plus a premium, not Munich pay. That premium is typically 10 to 20 percent above the local median, which is a good deal locally and a pay cut relative to relocating.
The three contract shapes behind the word remote
Almost every problem candidates bring us after accepting a remote role is a contract structure problem, not a work problem. There are only three legitimate shapes in Europe, plus one that is usually a mistake.
| Shape | Who employs you | Where it works well | What to check before signing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local employment, remote within the country | The employer's local entity | UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Poland | Remote clause written into the contract, not a policy that can change, and the number of office days |
| Employer of Record | An EOR provider that invoices the company | Any country where the employer has no entity | Who owns notice period and salary reviews, benefit parity, what happens if the EOR contract ends |
| Contractor or freelance B2B | You, through your own structure | UK outside IR35, German Freiberufler, French SASU or micro, Dutch ZZP | Rate excludes paid leave and sick pay, so price 140 to 170 billable days, not 220 |
| Living in country A, on country B payroll | Usually nobody legitimately | Rarely viable without an entity or an EOR | Permanent establishment risk, A1 social security certificate, 183 day tax residency rule |
The last line is where people get hurt. The cross border version of the question, with the tax and social security detail, is unpacked in our guide on whether you can work remotely for a UK company from France. The short version: it is the employer's compliance problem before it is yours, which is exactly why most of them say no.
How to find remote Salesforce jobs in Europe without wasting three months
Remote is the single most used filter on job boards, and 2.5 percent of all UK searches contain a remote or hybrid keyword according to Indeed Hiring Lab. That means the visible remote listings are the most competitive listings on the market. The roles that get filled quietly are the ones that were never advertised as remote, and became remote because the employer wanted a specific person.
- Search by employer type, not by the remote filter. Product companies, ISVs and Salesforce partners with distributed delivery teams say yes far more often than end user IT departments.
- Apply to hybrid roles in cities you could reach in a day. Two office days a week is the most common hybrid schedule in Europe and is negotiable far more often than a fully remote role is created.
- Ask the remote question at offer stage, never in the first screening. Asked early it reads as a constraint, asked late it reads as a detail to arrange.
- Target scarce skills. Data Cloud, Agentforce, MuleSoft and Marketing Cloud profiles get remote because the employer cannot find them locally, which is the only argument that reliably works.
- Check whether the company already employs someone in your country. If yes, an EOR or an entity already exists and the conversation is administrative. If no, you are asking them to open a country for you.
If you are ready to move instead, the flexibility argument reverses completely. Employers that will not hire you remotely will often sponsor a visa or fund a relocation for the same role, which is covered in our guide to Salesforce jobs with visa sponsorship in Europe, alongside city specific guides on English speaking Salesforce jobs in Amsterdam and relocating to Dublin for a Salesforce job.
FAQ: remote Salesforce jobs in Europe
Are there genuinely fully remote Salesforce jobs in Europe in 2026?
Yes, but they are about 11 percent of the market rather than the majority. In our book, 21 of 187 European Salesforce roles closed over eighteen months were fully remote, and 14 of those 21 were contractor engagements rather than employment. Hybrid, typically two office days a week, accounted for 68 percent. If your search is built exclusively on fully remote employment contracts, you are competing for roughly one role in thirty.
Do remote Salesforce jobs pay less than onsite ones?
Slightly, and less than expected. UK ads citing remote or hybrid carry a median of 60,400 pounds against 62,500 pounds for all Salesforce ads, a 3.4 percent gap, and remote medians grew faster last year (20.8 percent against 13.64 percent). The real discount appears on fully remote employment offers, where pay is benchmarked on where you live: expect 6 to 12 percent below the hybrid equivalent in the employer's city. Contractor day rates barely move, 500 pounds against 525 pounds in the UK.
Which European country has the most remote Salesforce jobs?
The United Kingdom by absolute volume, with 473 permanent Salesforce vacancies citing remote or hybrid in six months plus 370 contract ads. By culture rather than volume, Ireland (19.2 percent of employees usually working from home), the Netherlands (16.4 percent) and Sweden (15.6 percent) are the easiest places to negotiate. Italy, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania sit below 3 percent, so a remote request there is an exception rather than a default.
Can I live in one European country and work remotely for a company in another?
Only through a structure the employer accepts: a local entity, an Employer of Record, or a contractor engagement through your own company. Being put on a foreign payroll while living elsewhere creates permanent establishment risk for the employer and social security exposure for you, which is why most refuse. Check whether they already employ anyone in your country before asking, because that single fact decides the answer.
Do I need a work visa for a remote Salesforce job in Europe?
If you already have the right to work where you live, a remote role for an employer in another EU country does not create a visa question, it creates a tax and social security one. If you do not have the right to work in Europe, a remote contract does not grant it, and remote hiring is the worst possible route to residency because there is no sponsoring entity. In that situation, sponsored onsite or hybrid roles are the realistic path.
