The Salesforce Job Market in 2026: Demand by Country, Role and Skill
The Salesforce job market in 2026, measured: UK adverts up 66.6 percent, median pay up 14.29 percent, plus demand by country, by role and by skill.
The Salesforce job market in 2026 is bigger, better paid and more senior than it was a year ago. In the UK, the only market with a public advert level tracker, 1,648 permanent adverts cited Salesforce over the six months to 15 October 2026 against 989 in the same period of 2025, at a median advertised salary of 60,000 pounds, about 71,100 euros, up 14.29 percent year on year. The growth is real but it is not evenly spread: architects and consultants are repricing upwards, administrators are repricing downwards, and the countries where the work sits are not the ones most candidates look at first.
Methodology. Advert volumes, salaries and day rates are advertised figures for the six months to 15 October 2026 from IT Jobs Watch: Salesforce permanent market (1,648 adverts, 1,015 salaries quoted) and Salesforce contract market (1,158 adverts, 702 day rates quoted), plus the matching role and product pages for Salesforce Developer, Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Architect, Apex and MuleSoft. Workforce stock by country is Eurostat, ICT specialists in employment, data extracted April 2026, reference year 2025, online data code isoc_sks_itspt. Ecosystem job creation is the IDC Salesforce economic impact study released by Salesforce. Conversions use European Central Bank reference rates of 14 October 2026, one euro equals 0.84385 pound. One limit stated up front: no pan European tracker publishes Salesforce advert counts on a comparable methodology, so country demand below is read through workforce stock and through our own brief flow, never through invented advert numbers.
What the Salesforce job market 2026 numbers actually say
Start with the headline table, then read the two warnings under it, because they are the part nobody else publishes.
| Indicator | 6 months to 15 Oct 2026 | Same period 2025 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Permanent adverts citing Salesforce | 1,648 | 989 | plus 66.6 percent |
| Share of all UK permanent adverts | 1.39 percent | 2.01 percent | minus 0.62 point |
| Median advertised permanent salary | 60,000 pounds (71,100 euros) | 52,500 pounds | plus 14.29 percent |
| 25th percentile salary | 40,000 pounds (47,400 euros) | 37,500 pounds | plus 6.7 percent |
| 75th percentile salary | 80,000 pounds (94,800 euros) | 72,500 pounds | plus 10.3 percent |
| 90th percentile salary | 100,000 pounds (118,500 euros) | 90,000 pounds | plus 11.1 percent |
| Contract adverts citing Salesforce | 1,158 | 819 | plus 41.4 percent |
| Median contract day rate | 525 pounds (622 euros) | 500 pounds | plus 5.00 percent |
| Rank of Salesforce across the UK IT market | 132nd | 154th | up 22 places |
First warning: the share line moves the opposite way from the count line. IT Jobs Watch sampled far more UK adverts in 2026 than in 2025, roughly 118,000 permanent adverts against 49,000, so Salesforce can grow 66.6 percent in absolute terms and still fall as a proportion of the market. Treat the share line as the honest one and the count line as the one that pays the bills.
Second warning: the median rose 14.29 percent while the 25th percentile rose only 6.7 percent. That is not a general pay rise. It is the middle and the top of the market pulling away from the bottom, and every table below says the same thing in a different way.
Demand by role: 206 developer adverts, 18 business analyst adverts
Role level demand is where the Salesforce job market stops being one market. Five job titles, five different stories in the same six months.
| Role | Permanent adverts, 6 months to 15 Oct 2026 | Same period 2025 | Median advertised salary | Euro equivalent | Median change year on year | Salaries quoted |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salesforce Developer | 206 | 72 | 65,000 pounds | 77,000 euros | plus 8.33 percent | 142 |
| Salesforce Administrator | 89 | 44 | 40,000 pounds | 47,400 euros | minus 11.11 percent | 57 |
| Salesforce Architect | 77 | 44 | 100,000 pounds | 118,500 euros | plus 11.11 percent | 38 |
| Salesforce Consultant | 33 | 4 | 95,000 pounds | 112,600 euros | plus 35.71 percent | 33 |
| Salesforce Business Analyst | 18 | 9 | 71,250 pounds | 84,400 euros | plus 42.50 percent | 6 |
The administrator line is the story of 2026. Adverts doubled, from 44 to 89, and the median advertised salary fell 11.11 percent to 40,000 pounds, about 47,400 euros. More openings, less money. That is what a role looks like when demand holds but the work inside it is being reclassified: declarative build and user administration are increasingly bundled into platform or operations jobs, and the pay follows the bundle rather than the title. The detailed version of that shift is in our analysis of whether AI will replace Salesforce admins.
At the other end, architect at 100,000 pounds and consultant at 95,000 now sit a full band above developer at 65,000. Handle the consultant and business analyst medians with care: they rest on 33 and 6 quoted salaries respectively. A median built on six salaries tells you about six adverts, not about a market. The direction is credible, the precision is not.
How to read any advert based salary. These are asking prices, not payslips. Advertised medians run ahead of what gets signed, especially at the top of the range, because employers advertise the ceiling they would pay for a perfect profile. Demand by country: where the European Salesforce work actually sits
This is where most pages on this keyword start inventing numbers. There is no pan European equivalent of IT Jobs Watch, so nobody can honestly publish Salesforce advert counts for Germany or Spain on the same basis. What can be published is the size and the density of the technical workforce each country carries, because that is what decides how many Salesforce teams exist there at all. Eurostat measures it every year.
| Country | ICT specialists as share of total employment, 2025 | What it means for a Salesforce search |
|---|---|---|
| Sweden | 8.9 percent | Densest technical workforce in the EU, small absolute market, Nordic pay levels |
| Luxembourg | 8.7 percent | Finance and EU institutions, very low volume, very high pay |
| Finland | 7.8 percent | Product led, high English level, limited Salesforce depth |
| Netherlands | 7.2 percent | Best density to English ratio in Europe, dense partner ecosystem around Amsterdam |
| Estonia | 6.8 percent | Digital first and remote friendly, small market |
| Ireland | 6.2 percent | Cluster of US headquarters in Dublin, English native, high housing costs |
| Belgium | 5.9 percent | Institutions and corporates, French or Dutch often required for local roles |
| Germany | 5.5 percent | Deepest absolute pool in Europe, 2.3 million ICT specialists, 22.2 percent of the EU total, German still expected outside product companies |
| Portugal | 5.4 percent | Nearshore delivery centres for UK and Nordic clients, high volume, lower pay |
| France | 4.9 percent | Second deepest pool, 1.4 million ICT specialists, 13.7 percent of the EU total, French required for most local roles |
| Spain | 4.8 percent | Growing nearshore hub, just over 1 million ICT specialists, 10.2 percent of the EU total |
| Czechia | 4.7 percent | Prague delivery hubs, interview panels often based in the UK |
| Poland | 4.5 percent | Shared service centres at scale, cost driven demand |
| Italy | 4.0 percent | Large pool, 0.9 million ICT specialists, thin Salesforce specialisation outside Milan |
| Romania | 2.7 percent | Lowest density in this table, outsourcing led |
| EU average | 5.0 percent | More than 10 million ICT specialists, up 59.4 percent since 2015 |
Read the two columns together and the European map stops being a list of capitals. Germany employs 2.3 million ICT specialists, 22.2 percent of the EU total, and France 1.4 million, 13.7 percent: that is where the volume is. Sweden at 8.9 percent and the Netherlands at 7.2 percent carry close to twice the EU density of 5.0 percent, which is where the probability of landing in a mature Salesforce team is highest per application sent. And the whole base is moving: the EU added 59.4 percent more ICT specialists between 2015 and 2025, against 9.8 percent growth in total employment. The practical comparison of the three markets most candidates shortlist is in our guide to the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
Demand by skill: what the adverts ask for next to Salesforce
Skill demand is the dimension that has changed most in 2026, and it has not changed in the direction the keynotes suggest.
| Cited alongside Salesforce | Adverts | Share of Salesforce adverts |
|---|---|---|
| CRM | 703 | 42.66 percent |
| AI | 287 | 17.42 percent |
| SaaS | 242 | 14.68 percent |
| Stakeholder management | 242 | 14.68 percent |
| Decision making | 233 | 14.14 percent |
| Agile | 232 | 14.08 percent |
| Continuous improvement | 220 | 13.35 percent |
| B2B | 219 | 13.29 percent |
| Problem solving | 214 | 12.99 percent |
| Data quality | 135 | 8.19 percent |
| Lightning Web Components | 134 | 8.13 percent |
| Apex | 125 | 7.58 percent |
| Data modelling | 116 | 7.04 percent |
| Mentoring | 106 | 6.43 percent |
AI is cited in 287 Salesforce adverts, 17.42 percent, more than twice as often as Apex at 7.58 percent. Agentforce by name is cited so rarely that IT Jobs Watch maintains no tracked page for the term at all. That gap matters when you write a CV: employers are buying AI capability in generic language while their own briefs still describe Flow, data quality and integration work. Put Agentforce on your CV by all means, but put what you built with it next to it, because the screening keyword in 2026 is still AI. The role level view is our guide to Agentforce jobs, and the full ranked list of what specs ask for is in the most in demand Salesforce skills in 2026.
Product and language level demand
| Product or language | Permanent adverts | Same period 2025 | Median advertised salary | Euro equivalent | Median change year on year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salesforce Service Cloud | 150 | 81 | 80,000 pounds | 94,800 euros | plus 33.33 percent |
| Lightning Web Components | 134 | 96 | 75,000 pounds | 88,900 euros | plus 25.00 percent |
| Apex | 125 | 90 | 75,000 pounds | 88,900 euros | plus 7.14 percent |
| MuleSoft | 117 | 111 | 68,500 pounds | 81,200 euros | plus 14.17 percent |
| Salesforce Sales Cloud | 99 | 28 | 80,000 pounds | 94,800 euros | plus 33.33 percent |
| Salesforce Marketing Cloud | 73 | 87 | 62,500 pounds | 74,100 euros | plus 4.17 percent |
| Salesforce Commerce Cloud | 13 | 25 | 40,500 pounds | 48,000 euros | minus 56.22 percent |
Service Cloud and Sales Cloud both land on an 80,000 pound median, roughly a third above a year earlier, and Sales Cloud adverts tripled from 28 to 99. Commerce Cloud went the other way on every measure, 13 adverts against 25 and a median down 56.22 percent on ten quoted salaries, so read it as a market that has gone quiet rather than as a precise price. Marketing Cloud is the flat one, up 4.17 percent on 73 adverts, which matches the brief flow we see.
Permanent or contract: the market is tilting to contract
Salesforce accounts for 1.39 percent of UK permanent adverts and 2.09 percent of UK contract adverts. The platform is over represented in the contract market by half again, and that gap widened in 2026: contract adverts rose 41.4 percent to 1,158 while the median day rate rose 5.00 percent to 525 pounds, about 622 euros. The 75th percentile sits at 650 pounds, 770 euros, and the 90th at 700 pounds, 829 euros.
Note the asymmetry. Day rates are rising more slowly than permanent salaries, which is the reverse of 2022. Clients are buying more contract delivery capacity without paying more per day for it, because the supply of mid level freelancers has caught up with the demand. What that means country by country is in our hub on freelance Salesforce rates in Europe.
Where the work is, geographically and remotely
| Location | Permanent adverts | Median salary | Euro equivalent | Median change on same period 2025 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| England | 1,484 | 60,000 pounds | 71,100 euros | plus 14.29 percent |
| UK excluding London | 857 | 50,000 pounds | 59,300 euros | plus 5.26 percent |
| London | 673 | 67,500 pounds | 80,000 euros | minus 3.57 percent |
| Work from home | 499 | 60,000 pounds | 71,100 euros | plus 20.00 percent |
| South East | 252 | 47,000 pounds | 55,700 euros | minus 10.48 percent |
| North of England | 222 | 63,114 pounds | 74,800 euros | plus 26.23 percent |
The line to keep is work from home: 499 adverts, 30.3 percent of all Salesforce permanent adverts, with a median up 20.00 percent while the London median fell 3.57 percent. Remote Salesforce work is not shrinking in 2026, it is repricing upwards while the capital flattens. Where those roles sit across Europe is mapped in our hub on remote Salesforce jobs in Europe.
What we see from Apiire's European Salesforce desk. Trackers count adverts, and the briefs that never become adverts are the ones worth knowing about. Across the searches we ran over the last twelve months, the senior end of the market is increasingly filled before anything is published, through referral and through recruiters, while junior administrator roles are the ones posted publicly and buried under applications. That asymmetry is the real shape of 2026: the visible market is junior and crowded, the invisible market is senior and quiet. The timeline consequence for candidates is in how long it takes to get a Salesforce job.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Salesforce job market growing in 2026?
Yes in absolute volume, and the relative picture is mixed. UK permanent adverts citing Salesforce rose from 989 to 1,648 over the six months to 15 October 2026, up 66.6 percent, and contract adverts rose from 819 to 1,158. Over the same period Salesforce fell from 2.01 percent to 1.39 percent of all UK permanent adverts, because the overall advert sample grew faster still. Salaries moved up on every percentile, which is the clearest single sign that the demand is genuine.
Which Salesforce role is most in demand in 2026?
Salesforce Developer, by advert volume: 206 UK permanent adverts over the six months to 15 October 2026, against 89 for administrator, 77 for architect, 33 for consultant and 18 for business analyst. By pay growth the answer is different: business analyst medians rose 42.50 percent and consultant medians 35.71 percent, both on small samples, while the administrator median fell 11.11 percent.
Which European country has the most Salesforce jobs?
No source publishes that figure honestly, so treat any page that gives you a precise count with suspicion. By the size of the technical workforce that Salesforce teams are drawn from, Germany leads Europe with 2.3 million ICT specialists, 22.2 percent of the EU total, ahead of France with 1.4 million. By density, Sweden at 8.9 percent of total employment and the Netherlands at 7.2 percent are well above the EU average of 5.0 percent. The UK is the only market with public advert level data, which is why it anchors this page.
Is Agentforce actually creating Salesforce jobs?
Not yet under that name. AI as a generic requirement appears in 287 UK Salesforce adverts, 17.42 percent of the total, and that is where the growth shows up. Agentforce is cited so rarely that IT Jobs Watch maintains no tracked page for it. The IDC study released by Salesforce projects a net gain of 11.6 million jobs across the Salesforce economy between 2022 and 2028, which is an ecosystem forecast rather than a count of open roles. Both things are true at once: the direction is real and the job titles have not caught up.
Are Salesforce salaries going up in 2026?
In the UK yes, unevenly. The median advertised permanent salary is 60,000 pounds, about 71,100 euros, up 14.29 percent year on year, and the 90th percentile is 100,000 pounds, up 11.1 percent. But the 25th percentile rose only 6.7 percent and the administrator median fell 11.11 percent, so the gains are concentrated above the midpoint. Whether supply has caught up with demand is answered in is the Salesforce job market saturated.
Apiire places Salesforce profiles across Europe, which is why this page is built on advert data we can source and on brief data we actually hold rather than on round numbers. If you are looking for your next role, our candidates page explains how we work.
